The Warrnambool Offshore & Light Game Fishing Club in conjunction with the Victorian Fisheries Authority is proud to be hosting this Southern Bluefin Tuna tasting & appreciation night.
This night will be offering presentations from renowned fish veterinarian Paul Hardy-Smith and representatives from the Tuna Champions Program.
You’ll see a Tuna Cooking Master Class from Melbourne based Chef Mel Roberts. Mel is Formally trained as a chef at Melbourne’s leading hospitality institute, William Angliss. Mel has worked in and around Melbourne’s CBD and rural culinary hotspots and has over 12 years of professional cooking experience. She now runs her own company - "Chef By Trade" - a food consultancy that allows her to work in and alongside market leading cafes, restaurants, foodservice providers & farmers. Mel believes “variety is the spice of life which sits perfectly on the shelf between the paprika and turmeric”.
Mel will give a cooking demonstration with all in attendance given an opportunity to taste her creations along with being able to take the recipes home with you.
Paul Hardy-Smith will give a demonstration on how to care for your catch so you can have restaurant-quality SBT on your dinner table.
