The Warrnambool Offshore & Light Game Fishing Club is pleased to be holding a "flare night" at the Warrnambool Breakwater on Thursday 20th June, open to all members of the public as well as club members. This evening gives an opportunity to:
1. Bring along out-of-date flares which can be difficult to dispose of otherwise.
2. Learn important safety information with a talk on boat safety by a member of Marine Safety Victoria
3. Physically get first hand experience discharging flares in a non-emergency situation so as to be better prepared and knowledgeable both on execution and resulting output should the situation arise. FLARES MUST BE DISCHARGED UNDER SUPERVISION. Follow instructions on the evening.
6:30pm - A light complimentary BBQ
7:00pm - 8:00pm - Safety talk
8:00pm - 9:00pm - Discharging of flares
NO CHARGE - A FREE, VITAL, INFORMATIVE AND ENTERTAINING EVENING.
